WELCOME TO CLASS!

Unlearn. Learn. Lead.

I am happiest in a classroom, surrounded by students grappling with new ideas and old biases, all of us un/learning together. I avoid sage on a stage--or bore on the floor lecturing--and instead use innovative experiential activities to ensure that the leadership concepts I am teaching land both above and below the neck. Attending to the development of individual students as well as the development of the group as a whole, I use cutting edge case-in-point pedagogy, creating a living lab in my classroom where we explore how leadership and followership manifest in our own classroom and not just in the abstract world. This work cannot be done without a strong holding environment, so creating an inclusive, creative space where we can all be comfortable being uncomfortable together is important to me. Sparking curiosity and reflection through teaching is when I feel like I am standing most strongly in my purpose.
