FOUNDATIONS OF LEADERSHIP

This course focuses on leadership development--both each student's individual leadership development and the group leadership development of the class as a whole. I use both academic and popular texts to catalyze deep discussions about what good leadership looks like; this depends on public learning where students share their own obstacles to effective leadership to help others gain insight into their own leadership failures and challenges.

Students learn how to ask really good questions, how to better respond to ones that challenge them, and how to build a leadership practice that brings people together to work towards positive change.
