UNDERGRADUATE TEACHING

FOUNDATIONS OF LEADERSHIP
This course focuses on leadership development--both each student's individual leadership development and the group leadership development of the class as a whole. I use both academic and popular texts to catalyze deep discussions about what good leadership looks like; this depends on public learning where students share their own obstacles to effective leadership to help others gain insight into their own leadership failures and challenges.

GENDER STUDIES
Courses include Introduction to Women's & Gender Studies (WGS 201), Feminism & Popular Culture (WGS 320), Masculinities (WGS 460), and Girlhood (WGS 498)

ENGLISH & FILM STUDIES
Includes courses Interpretation of Film (EFS 154), Interpretation of Fiction: American Racial Melodrama (ETS 153), Reading Popular Culture (EFS 145), and Gender & Literary Texts: American Femininities (EFS 192/W ST 192).
